About Me
My name is Lindsey Yates. I am originally from Woodstock, Virginia, which is about 1 and a half hours west of Washington D.C. I went to Longwood University in Farmville, Virginia, and then I moved to Charlotte in the summer of 2002. I taught one year in Viriginia before moving to Charlotte and then I taught 4 years at Nathaniel Alexander, 9 years at Highland Creek and I have been at Cornelius Elementary for 4 years. I have taught third grade for 18 years now and I thoroughly enjoy it. I received my National Board Certification 11 years ago. I am married to my husband, Mike and we have two daughters named Madison who is 7 and Abigail who is 2. My whole family still lives in Woodstock Virginia. My parents are retired teachers. I have an older sister and younger brother and two beautiful nieces and a nephew.
I enjoy watching and playing sports. I am a big fan of the UNC Tarheels, Carolina Panthers, and Virginia Tech Hokies.
